“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe” (3:16 NIV)
After Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, God gave them separate penalties.
Eve, whose name means “mother of all the living” (Genesis 3:20 NIV), will experience pain during the one or two times when she gives birth.

Not fair!
Eve got duped by the serpent!
Eve took the first bite from the forbidden fruit!
Eve gave the fruit to Adam! (Genesis 3:1-6)
Why should Adam be condemned to work until the day he dies (click here to read “Penalty for Men: Work”) while Eve only gets a one- or two-day penalty?
Perhaps the answer lies in a typographical error . . .
Maybe the verse should read:
“I will make your pains in childRearing very severe” (3:16 NIV)
Kids really can drive their mothers crazy. Just look . . .
