Human sacrifice was not only practiced by the Aztecs.
According to Wikipedia, human sacrifice occurred “in many different cultures” throughout the ENTIRE world.
Human sacrifice even appears in the Judeo-Christian tradition:
“The LORD said, ‘Go get Isaac, your only son, the one you dearly love! . . . you must sacrifice him to me on the fires of an altar.’ ” (Genesis 22: 1-2 CEV)
